My hometown is Salem, Ohio, and my experiences in the Salem City School District is what has impacted me to pursue a career in teaching. I have one older sister, Brooke, and three dogs, Dixie, Sophie, and Burt. I am a very friendly, outgoing, and excited to interact with your children! I believe our students are our future. Each of our students has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. Everyday, there are miracles, learning, healing, laughter, sharing and love in classrooms all around the world. I have the opportunity to impact students’ lives in a positive way and this is a huge privilege that I do not take lightly.
In my time at Bowling Green State University, I have had several field experiences starting my first year of college. All of these experiences have helped build my ability to plan lessons, deliver instruction, and interact with students. My current student teaching is in a Pre-School at Alternate Learning Center-Westwood (Toldeo, OH). After graduation, I hope to begin a career teaching at an elementary level and work on gaining my master's degree.
